Raymond with rare Order of Railway Conductors dial, 15J, 18S, gold-filled OF recase with attractive engraving detail, fancy white enamel DS dial with "Order of Railway Conductors" banner passing through a conductor's ticket punch that is accented with gold foil, ornate log style Roman hour numerals are accented with gold foil, SW-SS, nickel damascene, s#4051881. One of the most spectacular and eye-catching railroad associated dial styles that we have had the pleasure of handling.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright plates with scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, few small spots of oxide to regulator index; dial with outer chapter fracture at 3 having tiny associated surface flaking and a small secondary branch at its perimeter, very faint outer chapter hl at 7, few mild fine to micro-fine scratches, splotchiness to gold foil finish within ticket punch but we are uncertain if this represents finish loss or is simply as-made; excellent hour and minute hand, fair seconds-hand with finish loss; case shows little wear, very slight compression type denting of rear center, good engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
